Do you take insurance?

YOU CAN BE ACCEPTED as a patient if you are:

  • Under 65 - pay at time of service (PATOS); superbill provided on request for you to submit to your private insurance

  • Medicare primary (we will bill Medicare)

  • Kaiser-Medicare (we will bill Kaiser Medicare program)

YOU CANNOT BE ACCEPTED as a patient if you have Medicare Advantage (like SCAN or AARP advantage/United Healthcare Advantage), Medicare HMO or if Medicare is secondary. Please note: unfortunately, we cannot accept cash pay from Medicare Advantage patients.

First time booking an appointment/urgent help

If you need urgent help, PLEASE let us know after you have booked an appointment. Kathleen will do her best to get you in sooner. If you are a new patient, go ahead and book the next available appointment (which may be a couple months out). She can more easily and seamlessly reschedule you sooner if you are already in the scheduling software (which occurs when you book your first appointment).

Booking multiple appointments

If you are Medicare or Kaiser-Medicare and you want to book ahead on the scheduling software, please ONLY book appointments 4-6 weeks apart, UNLESS Kathleen indicates that you should be seen sooner. If you are PATOS, you may book more frequently, but if you are not acute, Kathleen might request to reschedule you if another patient needs an urgent visit.

Communication

My preferred mode of communicating is via email (see “Contact Us” below). If you want to talk on the phone, Kathleen can arrange this for you (please inquire).

What are your Fees?

PATOS = 1 hour visits average $220.

Medicare and Kaiser Medicare do not have to pay unless Medicare or Kaiser denies coverage which has not happened since Kathleen has become a Medicare provider in Sept 2021. In the rare occurrence that your claim is denied, the fee would be between $190-$220 for an hour visit.

What is the length of an appointment?

45-60 minutes

Are you a DO?

Kathleen is a California licensed nurse practitioner. She is a Canadian-trained, non-physician osteopathic practitioner.

When did you start doing osteopathy?

Kathleen started her practice in Santa Rosa in 2011.
